Cinnamomum inunctum (nees) meisner var. albosericeum

Your chance to have a very fast growing, hardy and exotic Cinnamomum for your yard. These trees are hardy to ~Z7b and have done well in the greater Victoria area.
These trees are very closely related to Cinnamomum Camphora, (Camphor tree) another subtropical tree from East Asia.
This tree produces Safrole in great quantities in it's leaves. crushing the leaves releases the oil creating a candy-like/ anise like odor. The wood contains significant quantities of Camphor when mature.
These trees require full southern exposure, full hot sun and decent drainage. Tolerant of acid soils. during warm winters new growth may emerge during December/January.
This is normal. Frosts below ~ -1c can damage newly emerged growth while hardened growth will remain unscaithed.
I have 10 +1ft ( largest is 2ft at the moment) tall seedlings available. These will grow quickly given good soil.
This is a VERY rare plant to see outside of it's native habitat.
Picture 1: is showing a very large specimen of the same tree in Victoria
Picture2: Seedlings about 4 months ago . These are now all over 1.5ft tall. largest I have is just about 2ft now.
