Up for sale is a truly unique piece. It is a bit of a mystery. I can't find a maker's mark anywhere on this, but when you lift the top, there is a patent mark for 1923 on the metal hardware. This leads me to believe it is likely a custom-made piece of furniture from the era.
On the interior left side there is a bar that looks like it is meant for hanging clothes. The top lifts and there is a mirror in the lid, leading me to believe it is some top of wardrobe/vanity combination. It has a very unique interior piece that is removeable and can be used as an extension to the surface under the lid. Could that be intended for pressing garments?
