2003 5spd 2.0L golf for sale. I've owned the car for just under 2 years now and it has treated me very well. It does need a few slight repairs to be daily driven hence the price. I would fix it myself as I love this car but I am leaving for SE asia in a month and a half and need the money.
PROS:
I have replaced the front control arms, balljoints, steering rack and power steering pump, as well as the timing belt about 40k ago. New rear springs are installed as well as front strut bearings. Fresh engine oil and transmission oil changed in the last 100Km. Interior is very clean with a few exceptions such as a broken cup holder and a small cigarette burn in the headliner. AC blows cold and there are no big leaks last time it was up on a hoist. Car is 99% rust free with a few cosmetic exceptions.
CONS:
The front left hub need to be replaced. Parts are under 80$ to fix plus labour. As it sits it can be driven to your house, but I wouldn't reccomend taking it on the hwy. After this is fixed it is perfectly safe to daily.
The drivers side door is slightly bent and therefore requires a bit of more force to open, and well as the lock is broken and only the passenger side works to lock from the outside.
Slight exhaust leak about halfway down the pipe, but fumes do not get into the cabin and only makes the car slightly louder. The rear hatch lock also is missing a bolt, and just needs to be assembled.
This car isnt perfect cosmetically but still looks clean overall. It has been extremely reliable to me and for most of its life has sat in a heated garage. I am a first year mechanic so all matinence has been kept up for the 2 years I've owned it, and it had been dealership serviced its whole life by the old woman who owned it before me.
Price is pretty firm as it is impossible to fine a 5spd golf for this cheap. Looking for a quick sale.
