Toddlers love these smart trikes, I think because they can sit up and see the world more so than in a pram. So if you're looking for a toy or present to last a year or two of fun, get one.
What you need is one that can steer well from a parent perspective. Pay a bit more to get the "touch steering", you won't regret it. I can push my Smart Trike brand trike one handed, up a hill,with a dog in my other hand
